It is ungodly early in the morning. I should know, because I had a nervous breakdown and was up all night pulling myself together. Now, I am sitting in the Dundee Station, eating an overpriced bacon roll and wearing a cupcake hat. The cupcake hat isn’t quite Caoimhe’s Gray Hat of Invisibility, but I can hoping that the cupcake hat has similar properties of invulnerability. I am only barely holding it together. I suspect I would burst into inconsolable sobs at the slightest provocation.
Fortunately, being fifteen minutes early for the train (and finding the train, strangely, waiting at the platform), allows me to commandeer the seats of my choice in the totally deserted “Quiet Zone”.
My plans of packing lots of healthy food for my long journey today went totally out the window vis a vis my conveniently timed complete breakdown. I didn’t even manage to pack a couple of apples.
